Inside The Castle of KYSS:
How to Immerse Audiences with Strollytelling

Every new medium requires its own grammar. But what makes a virtual world truly captivating for audiences who come with a desire to explore, interact, and connect?

In this fireside chat, Thomas Zorbach, Founder and CEO of vm-people and one of the creators of the Castle of KYSS, joins Digital Experience Designer Liam Mckill to explore the principles of Strollytelling – the art of storytelling through exploration in immersive virtual environments.

Using the Castle of KYSS – a hub for romance novel fans – as a case study, they will discuss how narrative, architecture, atmosphere and interaction can be combined to create meaningful experiences that encourage visitors not merely to observe a story, but to step inside it.

Note: Parts of this event will be video recorded, potentially capturing individual voices and usernames. Please take this into consideration when joining the session, and let us know if you have any concerns.

The European Vision for XR:
Trust, Democracy and Inclusion in VirtualWorlds

Who will shape the future of virtual worlds? As immersive technologies become increasingly embedded in our societies, questions of trust, inclusion, governance, and digital sovereignty are becoming just as important as technological innovation itself.

In this panel discussion, Michael Barngrover, Dorota Sędek, and Lukasz Porwol join moderator Prof. Dr. Dr. Björn Bohnenkamp to explore Europe’s role in shaping the future of XR and virtual worlds. Drawing on perspectives from industry, community building, innovation, and education, they will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the European XR ecosystem.

From trustworthy platforms and democratic participation to accessibility, diversity, and international collaboration, the conversation will examine how Europe can help create virtual worlds that put people first and why the decisions we make today may shape the future of XR for generations to come.

Spatial AI Meets Healthcare:
From Information to Interaction

What happens when artificial intelligence is given a face, a voice, and a presence in virtual space? As intelligent avatars become increasingly sophisticated, they are opening up new possibilities for communication, education, and engagement across the healthcare sector.

In this session, Ines Heitkamp and D.J. Smith join moderator Anne Seubert to explore how the MedTriX Group is leveraging Spatial AI to create new forms of interaction for healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations. Using real-world examples, they will discuss how intelligent avatars can support medical education, simplify complex topics, and make expert knowledge more accessible, engaging, and interactive.

However, this session is not just about listening. Following the discussion, you will have the opportunity to experience these concepts firsthand. Through an interactive quiz, you will engage with with an AI-powered avatar and discover how Spatial AI can transform information into meaningful interaction.
