On April 17–18, 2026, Bright VR presents a double feature across the EDU and PRO tracks and for the first time, you can experience it live from wherever you are.
Through a newly designed festival hub in VRChat, created by award-winning world builders Shu Shu VR and Niko Lang, IMMERSIVE X opens a shared immersive space that connects the on-site experience in Florence with a global audience in real time.

Bright VR presents two sessions in Virtual Reality — each offering a unique perspective on the possibilities of immersive 3D environments.
One session is designed for artists, creators and producers the other for curators, exhibition makers, and brand innovators. Step into the immersive conference and get inspired by leading pioneers to design your own experiences.
Bright VR is part of the Bright Festival in Florence, extended into a shared immersive space through IMMERSIVE X. The sessions take place inside a dedicated VR Hub in VRChat, connecting the on-site audience with a global community.
There are three different ways to attend the sessions:
If you have your own VR Headset, such as Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S & Pro, Pico 4, or PC VR – you can fully step into the experience from wherever you are.
You can also access VRChat without a headset via desktop or mobile.
This allows you to navigate the virtual space, follow the sessions, and connect with other participants even without full VR immersion.
If you prefer to watch passively or are unable to join in VR, you can follow the sessions via livestream.

Taking place within the Bright Educational Program and hosted inside the Bright Festival x IMMERSIVE X VR Hub, this session offers a hands-on introduction to the tools, platforms, and workflows behind world-building in VR.
Through a series of lightning talks by artists and creators, you’ll gain insights into how VR is used for artistic expression, storytelling, and spatial design, followed by a guided exploration of immersive worlds. The session concludes with a guided exploration of selected VR worlds, offering a hands-on perspective on how immersive environments function in practice.

What if you could travel into the future and witness the consequences of today’s decisions firsthand? As climate change continues to reshape our world, immersive technologies offer new ways to make complex challenges tangible, emotional, and memorable.
In this experience, participants will explore Urban Tragedy 2050, a cinematic VR journey created by vm-people and the VRium Creative Team for PwC Germany. Set in a flooded Rotterdam in the year 2050, it combines storytelling and immersive world-building to reveal the human and societal consequences of climate inaction through a compelling time-travel narrative.
Participants will step directly into this future scenario and discover how virtual worlds can transform abstract risks into meaningful personal experiences.

What happens when artificial intelligence is given a face, a voice, and a presence in virtual space? As intelligent avatars become increasingly sophisticated, they are opening up new possibilities for communication, education, and engagement across the healthcare sector.
In this session, Ines Heitkamp and D.J. Smith join moderator Anne Seubert to explore how the MedTriX Group is leveraging Spatial AI to create new forms of interaction for healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations. Using real-world examples, they will discuss how intelligent avatars can support medical education, simplify complex topics, and make expert knowledge more accessible, engaging, and interactive.
However, this session is not just about listening. Following the discussion, you will have the opportunity to experience these concepts firsthand. Through an interactive quiz, you will engage with with an AI-powered avatar and discover how Spatial AI can transform information into meaningful interaction.

In this fireside chat, Thomas Zorbach, Founder and CEO of vm-people and one of the creators of the Castle of KYSS, joins Digital Experience Designer Liam Mckill to explore the principles of Strollytelling – the art of storytelling through exploration in immersive virtual environments.
