THE FUTURE OF LIVE IMMERSIVE THEATRE IN VIRTUAL WORLDS AND BEYOND

Thu November 12, 2026 08:00 pm CET

What comes next when live theatre in virtual worlds wins an Emmy?

Fresh from winning the 2026 Emmy for Outstanding Emerging Media Program with Uncanny Alley: A New Day, The Ferryman Collective joins IMMERSIVE X for an exploration of where live immersive theatre goes from here.

In the first act, Ferryman looks back and forward. What have years of creating live theatre in VR taught them about presence, embodiment, acting, storytelling and the relationship between performers and audiences? And what might the next generation of immersive performance become?

Then we go behind the scenes. Christopher Lane Davis aka Screaming Coloropens the creative toolbox for an experimental show-and-tell exploring animation, effects, optimization and the techniques that make ambitious live performance inside virtual worlds possible.

From an Emmy-winning present to an unwritten future: join Ferryman Collective as they explore the next act of immersive theatre.
