THE METAVERSE MUSIC SCENE
HOW LIVE MUSIC IS CREATING NEW COMMUNITIES IN SOCIAL VR

Wed November 11, 2026 09:00 pm CET

The music scene in social VR builds some of the largest and most loyal communities on these platforms.

The scene is growing in two directions: from the physical world into VR, and from VR back into the physical world. We’ll talk to two organizers who represent each path:

Breno Valli recreated a real club from São Paulo and gave it a parallel life in VRChat.
Shadola started with Metronom Bar, a small virtual bar, and now runs Metronom, an annual offline festival for 250 people.

We’ll discuss:

  • what makes organizing live shows in VR different
  • how a community actually forms around a virtual stage
  • the challenges organizers face
  • practical tech tips: what you need to perform in VRChat yourself, or to host other artists

The session ends with a live music performance.
