THE CHOICES WE THINK WE MAKE
GATHERING AT THE FOREMOTHERS CAFÉ TO EXPLORE WHAT REALLY SHAPES US

Wed November 11, 2026 10:00 pm CET

At the Foremothers Café, author and creator Helen Lundström Erwin and moderator Anne Seubert invite you to explore the forces that shape the decisions we make – from political choices and personal autonomy to social pressure, belonging and the tension between short-term comfort and the future we say we want.

The gathering begins with the story behind the Foremothers Café – a place inspired by the choices of women before us and the circumstances that shaped them, making it the perfect setting to question what really shapes our own choices today. Then it’s your turn. In small World Café groups, participants exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions and explore what makes independent choices possible – or prevents them.

At the heart of every conversation lies one question inspired by this year’s guiding theme: Reclaim the Future: What conditions do we need to create so that we can become the foremothers our future needs?
