At the end of the first day of IMMERSIVE X, an entire island is waiting to be explored.

Infinity Island is a vast virtual landscape of mountains, canyons, gardens, harbors, art spaces, hidden caverns, and waterways. But how do you create a virtual world at this scale and still make it feel alive?

Creators Kurt Jackson and Ambrose Cavalier take participants on a guided journey behind the art, vision, and technology of the island, revealing the challenges and creative decisions involved in building and optimizing such a massive environment.

And when the tour ends, the Mixer begins. Stay to explore the island freely, meet fellow Metanauts, take a boat into the caverns, gather around the plaza, and celebrate the end of the first leg of our three-day journey with an incredible fireworks display.

Walk, talk, explore, connect, and end your first day of IMMERSIVE X somewhere beyond the horizon.

Ambrose Cavalier is the lead designer, modeller, and programmer for many projects at SN1XR, including the WebXR shooter “Crazy Fish: When Sharks Attack” and the large multi-purpose world “Infinity Island”. He majored in Philosophy with a minor in Classics at a small liberal arts college, and most of his knowledge of coding and 3D graphics comes from online tutorials, personal projects, and experimentation. Kurt Jackson
Owner Managing Member at SN1XR SCS

Kurt Jackson is CEO and owner of Software Consulting Services (SCS), a 50-year-old technology company serving the newspaper and media industry. After decades of building systems that automate publishing, advertising, and production, Kurt began exploring how immersive technology could transform the way people experience information, data, art, entertainment, and community. That work led to SN1XR, an XR development initiative creating immersive worlds, games, 3D data visualizations, and virtual experiences. His focus is on helping a legacy technology company embrace AI, XR, spatial computing, and new forms of digital interaction while continuing to support the future of local journalism.
