In this immersive lecture-performance, ShuShuVR – an award-winning VR Art & Drama Director who melds theatrical narrative and visual art into emotionally resonant, immersive experiences – explores the metaphysical dimensions of theatre through Virtual Reality. The event honors the legacy of one of the most extraordinary avant-garde artists in the history of theatre: Tadeusz Kantor. His notion of Theatre of Death redefined 20th-century performance by merging ideas of “poor theatre,” the presence of the dead, and the uncanny figure of the actor-mannequin.
This session bridges the physical and digital: combining rare video archives, live dramatic narration, and the sacred space in VR.
Within The Anatomical Theatre, participants are invited to reflect on how theatrical experience – and death itself – can be reimagined in the Metaverse, to consider what lies at the essence of pure art
