VRChat

Supported devices: Various VR headsets, Steam desktop

INSTALLATION

Search for VRChat in the app store on your device or in Steam and install the app.

USER ACCOUNT

You can create an account at https://vrchat.com/home/register. VRChat also allows you to log in with the Meta/Pico account on your headset, which can later be linked to an account created on the website.

Join the IMMERSIVE X Group

To get access to our sessions, join our VRChat group called “IMMERSIVE X“. After you have created your account, join the group at the following link:

You will find a group-instance in your VRChat menu at the time the session starts. You may need to restart VRChat after your join request has been accepted.

Your Avatar

To ensure a smooth experience for all participants, Please wear an avatar with medium‚ good or excellent performance rating.

VRChat

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have joined our VRChat group (vrc.group/IX25.4714).

Joining a Session

  • If available, update VRChat.
  • Open the VRChat app.
  • Open the menu and navigate to “Groups”.
  • You will see an open instance on the Groups page, click on it to join.

REMIO Enterprise

Supported devices: Various VR headsets, Windows desktop

Important:

There are two versions of the REMIO app. To join the conference sessions, it’s crucial to install “REMIO Enterprise” on your device. Depending on your device, you can find it as follows:

META QUEST 2 or newer:

Search for “Remio Enterprise” in the App Store. Ensure that you specifically search for this name, as there are two versions of the Remio app. The Remio Enterprise app is located in Meta’s App Lab, and a relevant prompt will appear. Alternatively, you can use the following link to install the app:

Windows Desktop

Visit the following link and download the Enterprise version of REMIO. Follow the installation instructions found on the page:

Create Account

Go to REMIO Registration and create an account.

Note: In order to participate in Remio Enterprise sessions, please save the email address used in your Remio account in your profile.

Join the IMMERSIVE X Server

If you start Remio Enterprise and don’t see the IMMERSIVE X server yet, join it by entering this server code:

  • Open the REMIO Enterprise app.
  • In the menu in front of you click “Join Via Code”.
  • Enter the following code and click submit:

Prerequisites

Make sure you have joined the IMMERSIVE X server in Remio. The server code is:

Joining a Session

  • Open the REMIO Enterprise app
  • Locate the list of servers in the menu in front of you
  • Find the server named “IMMERSIVE X” and click it to join

Once on the server, it is possible that you need to move to  a different space. The name of the space is given in the “Location” field in the session description. To move to a different space:

  • Open the menu by looking at your left wrist and clicking on the menu symbol
  • Find the space and click on it to move there

RAUM

Supported Devices: Meta Quest.

Install RAUM

Download the RAUM app to your headset using the following link or search for “RAUM” in the Meta Horizon Store.

To access RAUM, you will need either:

  • A direct invitation sent to you via email, or
  • A link to a Join Page.

Pair Your Headset and Create an Account

You get an invitation link to a Join Page for each session. On your first join you can create an account and pair your headset:

  • Open your invitation link and click “Continue”.
  • Follow the instructions on the Join Page
  • Choose “Accept Invitation” and click on the device pairing icon.
  • Enter the generated pairing code into the RAUM app on your VR headset.

You can also pair your headset to your account later. On the website click on your profile icon, “Device” and then “Request pairing code”.

Enter your session

You will get an invitation link fore your booked RAUM session. The link comes via email and appears in the session pop-up about half an hour before it begins. Open the link to join the workspace.

To then enter your session:

  • If available, update the RAUM app.
  • Start the RAUM app.
  • Move forward towards the workspace tiles using the A or X key on your controllers.
  • Touch the tile for your session with your virtual finger to join.

Join the exploration space

You are invited to join the exploration workspace, which is open from Monday, November 25 to Friday, November 29:

ENGAGE

Supported Devices: Majority of VR headsets, desktop, mobile

INSTALLATION

Search for “ENGAGE” in your device’s app store or find download information at engagevr.io/engage-download-list/. Install the app.

USER ACCOUNT

You can create an account at app.engagevr.io/register or in the app on your headset/device. Log in to the app.

Personalise your avatar
You can only edit your avatar before you enter the session. Take some time to customize it beforehand: Log in and at the title screen click on your profile icon, then on Avatar. Create your desired look and save it.

join your session

In the app you see a menu in front of you. In it you should see the menu  points “Events” and “Sessions”. There are two ways to join:

  • Click “Sessions” and enter a Session ID
  • Click “Events” and find your session in the list


Your booked IMMERSIVE X session tells you which way to use.

Spatial

Supported Devices: Meta Quest, mobile, web browser

To prepare your Spatial adventure, you will need a Spatial account and to pair your headset.

INSTALLATION

Search and install Spatial from the Meta Quest app store, find download information for mobile devices on www.spatial.io/download or access via your web browser under www.spatial.io.

USER ACCOUNT

We recommend creating an account on spatial.io instead of joining as a guest. This will allow you to participate in chat and communicate via voice.

Pair your headset
Start Spatial on your VR headset. A pairing code will appear. Visit spatial.io in a web browser and log in. Click on your username in the top right and on “Pair Headset”, where you can enter your pairing code.

Personalise your avatar
Once you’re registered, you’ll have the option to customize your profile and avatar on the website.

Spatial

Prerequisites

We recommend creating an account on the Spatial platform instead of joining as a guest. This will allow you to participate in chat and communicate via voice. See “Set up Spatial” for more information.

join your session

You will find an invitation link in the popup window of the session you have booked.

Open the invitation link in your web browser, which will add the event room to the “Shared with you” tab.

To join a session, search for the world name and click on the world to enter.

  • For Computer, Tablet, or Phone Users: It is recommended to use the Chrome browser for the best experience. Go to Spatial.io and search for the session’s world name to join the event.
  • For VR Users: Install the Spatial app and search for the session’s world name to join the event. (Please make sure your VR headset has the latest software update installed).


You find the Spatial world name in the popup window of the session you have booked.

Audio hints

  • No Sound?: If you’ve joined but don’t hear any sound, try refreshing your browser and rejoining. Sometimes this may need to be done a few times, especially if there are many people in the world. If in VR it is possible you need to restart your headset if it’s the first time downloading your application. (Please make sure your VR headset has the latest software update installed).
  • Check Sound Permissions: If refreshing doesn’t help, make sure you’ve granted permission for the browser tab to play sound. Typically, Chrome will prompt you to do this when you first enter the world. To enable sound, right-click on the tab and select “Unmute site” from the dropdown menu.
  • Adjust Audio Settings: Audio settings can be found in the top-right corner (click the three-dot icon). Then go to Settings > Audio & Video. Here, you can adjust the overall volume and the volume levels for different elements (music, voices, etc.).
  • Asking Questions During Q&A: If you wish to ask a question during the Q&A session, make sure your microphone is unmuted. Click the microphone icon to unmute (it should no longer be crossed out).
  • Still No Audio?: If people still can’t hear you, go to computer settings and make sure the correct microphone is selected.

naer

Supported Devices: Meta Quest

INSTALLATION

Search for and install Naer in the Meta Quest app store on your headset.

You can start Naer and go through the short tutorial. A user account is not necessary.

join your session

You will find your Naer room code in the popup window of the session you have booked.

In the app click on “Enter existing room” and enter the code to join.

Foretell Reality

Supported Devices: Meta Quest, Windows desktop

INSTALLATION

Search for “Foretell Reality Group” in the Meta Store on your Quest 2, 3 or Pro and install the app or get the Windows desktop app at foretellreality.com/download-foretell/.

USER ACCOUNT

You will be provided with a user account and don’t need to create your own.

On Meta headsets Foretell Reality will use your Meta avatar.

join your session

You will receive an email with the client code, login credentials and a space name for the session you have booked. Enter these in the app and click on the space to join the session.

Horizon Worlds

Supported Devices: Meta Quest

INSTALLATION

Search for and install Meta Horizon Worlds on your headset.

Start the app once and experience the first-time user walk-through and customise your avatar to your liking.

USER ACCOUNT

Horizon Worlds uses the Meta account on your headset.

join your session

You will find the Meta Horizon world for your booked session in the session popup. With it:

  • Start Meta Horizon Worlds.
  • Click the magnifying glass icon at the top of the menu window in front of you
  • Search for the world and enter it to join

Microsoft Mesh

Supported Devices: Meta Quest, Windows desktop

INSTALLATION

Search for and install Microsoft Mesh from the Meta Quest app store or in the Microsoft Store on Windows.

LINK USER ACCOUNT

You will be provided with Microsoft login credentials to join the session. It’s best to start preparing early, since set-up takes a while.

  • Start Microsoft Mesh on your headset. A pairing code will be displayed on screen. Open www.microsoft.com/devicelogin on your PC and enter the pairing code. If you are using the Mesh app on Windows, click “Sign In” instead.
  • If you are logged in with your own Microsoft account, select “Use another account”. You can also use a private browser window in which you are not logged in.
  • Enter the provided username and password and sign in
  • You will be prompted to reset the password; do so and then sign in again.
  • You will be required to set up two-factor authentication. Use your phone number or the Microsoft Authenticator app. We recommend the phone number, since it is quicker to set up.
  • Click “Continue” and put your headset back on, waiting for the app to fully load.


If you experience any issues after signing in, please restart the Mesh App on your headset.

If you wish, you can personalise your avatar in the app.

join your session

The session will appear in the “Happening Now” section of the dashboard. Click “Join” and then “Join Now” to enter.
