The Metaverse is often presented as a vision of the distant future. But its many possibilities can be experienced even today. This is possible thanks to creative pioneers around the world who have set out to explore this space and bring it to life with their great ideas and bold initiatives.
At X-HOUR, you will have the opportunity to meet some of these artists, performers and thought leaders and let them take you into their immersive worlds. The five-day event series will take place on the sidelines of SXSW 2024 in Austin, March 7-11. X-HOUR is presented by the organizers of IMMERSIVE X | The Next Reality Conference in close cooperation with german.innovation.
X-HOUR is a digital event series in Virtual Reality that takes place in different Social VR apps and locations.
There are three different ways to attend the sessions:
If you are in Austin and attending SXSW, we are happy to provide you with VR rental equipment.

If you have your own VR glasses, such as Quest 2, 3 & Pro, Pico Neo 2, or HTC Vive Focus, you can join our sessions from the comfort of your home or office.
VR Locations: The venues vary depending on the session and are located either in VRChat, ENGAGE or REMIO. The exact location and directions will be provided after registration.
If you are not in Austin and do not have a VR headset, you can watch the X-HOUR sessions via livestream.

Our goal is to create a special experience for like-minded people. We value having the right participants more than charging high ticket prices, so attendance is free.
