Streams are my reality: Why live streams are the immersive "television" of tomorrow

The streaming platform Twitch was launched almost ten years ago. Although it is not well known in the mainstream yet, the number of users and producers is still rising steadily. The most successful live streamers earn 5-digit amounts every month – all from their living room and mainly through the solvent support of their fans through paid subscriptions, donations, and affiliate purchases. Even some businesses are already part of the streaming culture. Since Corona, Patrick Breitenbach has been dealing intensively with the livestream phenomenon (incl. learning by doing) and will look behind its scenes in his presentation – from the perspective of both the consumer and the producer. For him, streaming is the next big internet media thing after blogs and podcasts.
